The Purpose
I was given the opportunity to assist Armada Design Group with the design and layout of a recommendations report presented by the Trans* and Gender Variant Inclusion Working Group. The purpose of the report was to persuade the Vancouver Park Board to make changes in order to reduce barriers faced by trans* and gender variant community members.
The Design Solution
Due to the length of the report, a colour-coding system was implemented to differentiate the many policy sections. In each of the sections are charts for specific recommendations, as well as case studies and quotes from users of Vancouver’s public facilities. A pathway motif is used throughout the document, representing the “clear path” needed for improved inclusivity within the parks system.
